Emmerdale's Danny Miller reveals newborn baby son's adorable name

Emmerdale star Danny Miller has revealed the name of his new baby son – and the special family meaning behind the choice.

Miller, who plays Aaron Dingle on the ITV soap, welcomed his first child with fiancée Steph Jones last month. The couple, who are planning to get married next year, announced their happy news with a sweet Instagram post.

Now, as the couple adjust to parenthood, Danny has revealed that the newest addition to the Miller-Jones family is called Albert.

Sharing the reason behind the name, Danny told OK!: "I've loved the name from when I was a kid." In a twist of fate, Albert also turned out to be the name of Steph's grandfather.

"Steph's granddad was called Albert but when we were in school I just knew him as Steph's granddad, so when I suggested it, I didn't know it was her granddad's name," the actor explained.

Recalling the moment Danny suggested Albert, Steph said: "Danny said to me, 'I've got a name that I really love but I'm not sure what you'll think about it,' and then when he said 'Albert', I said it must be a sign as that was my granddad's name.

"My mum was really pleased as it was her dad. It was really emotional for her."

Opening up about the birth of his first child and his experience of looking after a newborn, Danny said that he and Steph are "in awe" of baby Albert.

"It's made me much more in love with Steph, too. I was absolutely in awe of her and we're absolutely in awe of him," the Emmerdale favourite continued.

"He's only been here a couple of weeks and I don't know what I'd do without him. When he arrived I just ended up staring at him for five hours straight."
