Emmerdale's Meena leaves a threatening voicemail for Victoria

Emmerdale killer Meena Jutla was determined to get her revenge on Victoria in Monday's episode, leaving her an ominous voicemail about her new relationship with David.

In tonight's episode (October 25), Meena was left terrified and began to panic that Priya might know something about the fire, ultimately deciding to try and silence Priya for good.

Speaking to Meena, Jacob suggested that Priya might know more about whether the maze fire was an accident.

"Accident or not, people need to know why this happened," he told her.

Priya remained in a critical condition in the hospital, having sustained horrific burns in the fire.

As Priya regained consciousness after the fire, Meena snuck into her room to find her before she could speak to the police or undermine her version of events.

She said that for "risk mitigation", she had to kill Priya to ensure she didn't say anything to the authorities. Meena didn't know what Priya had seen in the maze, but couldn't take the risk that she'd seen something incriminating.

But before Meena could act on her decision to silence Priya for good, she was interrupted by a nurse and forced to abandon her murderous plan. She told the nurse she was "lucky" to have only suffered smoke inhalation, and assured her she'd be back as soon as Priya was allowed to have visitors.

Meena then moved on to try and find Victoria, but she had already been discharged. After asking a nurse who had taken her home, Meena was left furious when the nurse said someone she assumed was Victoria's "husband" had arrived to pick her up.

Of course, the nurse was referring to David, and Meena was further enraged when she found a card on the floor of the hospital room from David to Victoria, which read: "I can't wait any longer for us to be together – a proper family. Victoria Sugden, I love you."

After Meena ranted to Manpreet about how she should have seen this coming, Manpreet told Meena not to do anything "rash". In a sinister response, Meena told her she'd "kill for" a cup of tea.

As soon as Manpreet left the room, a furious Meena then picked up the phone and called Victoria.

"I know what's going on and you're not going to have him. He's not yours," she warned. "What goes around comes around. Best watch out for that, Vic, because trust me, karma can be a real bitch."

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
