Emmerdale has hinted that DI Malone's body could eventually be found.
Malone was killed by Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) in self-defence last year, bringing his reign of terror in the village to an end.

The corrupt policeman lost his life in August 2020 amid a terrifying showdown with Dawn and his ex-lover Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton).
Harriet took control of the situation by burying Malone's body in an already-occupied grave at the village cemetery.

Four months later, Harriet panicked when the daughter of the other man in the grave made plans to have his body exhumed.
Harriet's on-off partner Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) was soon forced to take control of the situation, wanting to protect his daughter Dawn.
Will dug up and re-buried Malone's body on a secluded spot at Home Farm, hoping it would never be found.
In next week's episodes, Will is pleased when Kim Tate (Claire King) rewards his loyalty after his hard work at Home Farm.

Will has been working as a groundsman for Kim, but she decides that it's time to promote him to Estate Manager.
However, just when things are looking good for Will, he inadvertently leaves Kim with reason to be suspicious.
Viewers have recently seen Ellis Chapman (Aaron Anthony) pitch the idea of a survival night to Kim following encouragement from Priya Kotecha (Fiona Wade).

As preparation for the project begins, Will has concerns about the planned spot, which is dangerously close to Malone's final resting place.
Will relocates the event, but Kim gets suspicious over his reasons why.
Could Kim look into this mystery and make a shocking discovery?
