Emmerdale spoilers follow.
2020 isn't over yet, but we're already looking ahead to 2021, and Emmerdale could be bringing Marlon Dingle and Rhona Goskirk back together.
Viewers will have already seen the two bond over their son Leo, but she will ask him to spend New Year's Eve with her. The signs that they are clearly still into each other are obvious to everyone... except each other.

Luckily, Paddy Kirk may be there to step in and try and play matchmaker after they both admit their feelings to him in confidence. As he sees them both in the Woolpack making awkward conversation and avoiding the point, he has a decision to make: will he let them work it out by themselves, or tell them the truth about their feelings?
Paddy actor Dominic Brunt, who directs horror-comedy movies in his spare time, recently admitted that he is surprised the Emmerdale bosses keep him around after two decades.

"Every Christmas when the contract is up, I still think that's probably it," he said. "I think that keeps me going, the thought that at any point you could be out. You can't just wing it, turn up with no ideas.
"So I try hard – but never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have a job this good for so long... I'm very lucky. I've probably dodged a couple of bullets and I never ever take it for granted."
Considering how Paddy's Christmas wedding is taking centre stage this week, we imagine the writers and producers have still got plenty in mind for the character.
