Emmerdale will confirm Liv Flaherty's diagnosis in the New Year, as she learns that she has epilepsy.

In upcoming episodes, Liv (Isobel Steele) is seen taking the news in a mostly calm manner, appearing to accept it. But Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) reacts badly and finds Liv's diagnosis difficult to process.

Some tension between Liv and Aaron rises the following day, as Liv plans a kayaking trip for Aaron and Ben Tucker (Simon Lennon). Aaron is displeased but sets off anyway.

When Liv starts having a seizure, Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) panics, with no idea what he should be doing. He ends up dialling his father Paul Ashdale (Reece Dinsdale) for help.

After he shows up and calls for an ambulance for Liv, Paul attempts to reassure Vinny and calm him down.

Thankfully, Liv starts to regain consciousness.

Still out, Aaron eventually finds numerous missed calls from Vinny. He panics and rushes to the hospital. Sensing his fury, Vinny tries to stop Aaron him from seeing Liv, which only infuriates Aaron further as he tells Vinny to move out of Mill Cottage.

But Paul surprisingly comes to his son's defence, which might be enough to calm Aaron down.

Meanwhile, star Dominic Brunt – who plays Paddy Kirk – shared that he sometimes worries his character will be written out, adding: "I've probably dodged a couple of bullets and I never ever take it for granted."
