Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale has confirmed that Andrea Tate is changing sides in the battle between her estranged husband Jamie and Belle Dingle.
Andrea (Anna Nightingale) is the only person in the village who can confirm Belle is telling the truth about Moira Dingle's hit and run accident, but she has opted to put herself first.
In Monday's (October 5) episode, Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) faced tough questioning from the police over the day of the hit and run, after Jamie falsely accused her of being the driver.
Belle answered the police's questions honestly and encouraged them to verify her story with Andrea, who'd back her up.

When Belle was released and returned home to the village, however, she realised that Andrea had betrayed her at the eleventh hour.
After speaking to the police, Andrea informed Belle that she had given Jamie a false alibi to clear his name.
As a devastated Belle protested that she'd now get the blame, Andrea replied: "Well maybe you shouldn't go round sleeping with other people's husbands, should you?"
The shock development left Jamie triumphant once again, convinced that he'd now done more than enough to thwart Belle once and for all.

Last week, Jamie had frantically tried to make a deal with Andrea, who confirmed that there was something he could do for her.
In Tuesday's hour-long episode (October 6), more about this arrangement will be revealed as Jamie tells Lydia Dingle exactly what he has done.
Emmerdale airs at 7pm all this week on ITV.
