Vinny Dingle will make a worrying discovery about his father Paul in Emmerdale next week.
A significant roadblock in the two reconnecting will occur after Mandy (Lisa Riley) meddles in her son's love life once again.

Mandy will be left embarrassed and ashamed when an attempt to set up Vinny (Bradley Johnson) with Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) leads to problems, as she misunderstands what Liv's asexuality means and says the wrong thing.
Vinny is eventually able to smooth things over with Liv on his mum's behalf, but Mandy is upset once again when Tracy talking about her pregnancy brings up bad memories.
When Vinny tries to comfort his mum, she makes him promise that he will never tell Paul about the baby she'd lost long ago – but Vinny is worried to realise that Paul has actually been nearby throughout the conversation!
Paul surprisingly attempts to make peace with Mandy by asking for her forgiveness once and for all. He's relieved when his former partner agrees to put their problems in the past for good!
While his parents are having their serious discussion upstairs, Vinny looks through his dad's pockets for a few extra quid – but finds a gambling ticket! Has Paul returned to his old ways?
Bradley Johnson previously hinted that Paul might not be entirely truthful with his attempts to make peace with Mandy.
"Maybe Vinny needs to be wary of Paul. Addiction is a hard thing and it never really goes away," he said.
"People can say they've changed, but Paul might be putting on a front just for Vinny. He may have a bit of a darker side. Paul has been through a lot in his life and maybe things aren't everything they seem to be.
"Vinny needs not to get in too deep, keep his wits about him and try not to get in the middle of Mandy and Paul's drama."
Emmerdale will air these scenes in the week beginning Monday, September 28 on ITV.
