Jai Sharma looks set to put himself firmly in the running of suspects for the murder of Graham Foster on Emmerdale.
Graham is due to be killed off imminently, with next week's episodes due to show the day of his death from the perspective of several different characters.
However, it seems Jai will be among those with a clear motive to off Graham after he tells Laurel about her partner's drugs problem, leading to a shock split.

"It's the opening day of Hawkford Outdoor Pursuits and Dawn dashes over to a stressed and exhausted Jai," a new synopsis reads. "Unable to process everything, he heads off in silent despair and in search of cocaine to get him through.
"High, he's single handedly saving the day – but when his car collides with Graham's on the road, he's outed as being under the influence and before he knows it, Graham has confessed all to a horrified Laurel.
"Things go from bad to worse when Rishi intercepts the drugs Jai has ordered and his family and relationship are in tatters. And it's all Graham's fault. And Jai's going to make him pay…."
Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw further explained to Digital Spy and other press: "We see Jai return to cocaine and Graham finds out.
"Graham tells Laurel, so Laurel immediately ends the relationship with Jai. Jai is enraged that Graham has ruined the relationship. He heads out on this drug-fuelled rage, hell-bent on revenge."
Could this have deadly consequences?
Among the other suspects in Graham's murder are Andrea Tate, Jamie Tate, Kim Tate, Al Chapman, Charity Dingle and Marlon Dingle.
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Tuesday, January 21 at 7pm on ITV.
