Emmerdale star Emma Atkins has revealed that Charity Dingle and Vanessa Woodfield will make an ill-fated attempt to bring forward their wedding plans.
The popular couple have been engaged since January 2019, but have so far seemed in no hurry to head down the aisle together.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other media at a recent Emmerdale press day, Emma confirmed that there'll be a wedding bombshell in next week's dramatic episodes, which see Graham Foster murdered by a mystery culprit.

Asked whether Charity is capable of killing Graham, Emma laughed: "I had to think about this when someone asked me the other day, because I couldn't remember if she had killed anyone!

"But she absolutely could be driven to it, especially when her family is involved. As much as she's described as quite a useless mother at times, she would kill for her own.
"Ryan gets involved too. On the day leading up to the whodunit, Charity and Vanessa are excitedly planning this secret event. They want all the kids present to explain that they are going to get married that day.
"After Noah being in hospital and being at death's door, they are like: 'C'mon, something good has got to come out of this now' and just after Christmas they think: 'Let's do it!'
"So she runs up to the HOP office so they can make the big announcement and then suddenly Ryan goes missing."

Ryan has recently teamed up with Graham to help the schemer to steal money from Kim Tate's business accounts. However, when the secret alliance turns sour next week, Graham forces Ryan to arrange the final payment – then holds him captive so he can't tell Kim.
Emma added: "Charity finds Ryan locked in one of the kayak huts at the outdoor pursuits centre and then it all unravels that Ryan has been working closely with Graham to syphon off money from Kim's bank account.
"Then the plot thickens and that's the reason Graham takes Ryan hostage, which induces more hate from Charity's end.
"Seeing Ryan in such a vulnerable state as well is the icing on the cake. What does this man want? She goes after him and says: 'Why do you hate me so much?' It's very exciting."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
