Emmerdale is set to revisit Jai Sharma's history with addiction.
Jai has struggled with drugs at different points over the last several years, but has more recently gone through a period where he stayed clean.
His sobriety could be threatened next week when troubles at work pile up. Pressure will mount on Jai (Chris Bisson) once he starts feeling like he's pulling more weight than Kim Tate (Claire King) and Al Chapman (Michael Wildman).

Jai has to cover for Al when his partner is forced to go out to fix things once a key sponsorship is lost at the worst possible time.
Even worse, a key deadline is moved up — meaning Jai will have to pull an all-nighter if he stands a chance of getting all of his work done.

Desperate Jai resorts to calling out to his favourite pizza joint to place an order for a very 'special pizza'. When it arrives, Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) can sense how agitated Jai is feeling.
Graham eventually will leave, giving viewers a chance to see why Jai was so touchy. He will open the pizza box to reveal a bag of cocaine, which he stores in his desk for safekeeping.
But will Jai really put his sobriety at risk in order to cope with the hardships at work? Viewers will find out when these scenes air next week.
Emmerdale currently airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
