Emmerdale has released a first look at David Metcalfe and Jacob Gallagher's Christmas Day baby shock.
As previously revealed, David (Matthew Wolfenden) and Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) will find a baby left on their doorstep which turns their worlds upside-down.
The discovery happens as father and son are celebrating Christmas with Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) and Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell). They also find a note from Maya Stepney, but are unconvinced that it really is from her to begin with.
The next day, David says that he believes it's best that everyone keeps the baby situation secret until they know more. Then, over the following week, David, Jacob, and Leyla wait for the results of the paternity test.
The Christmas Day shock comes after viewers saw last month that Maya was pregnant.
"It's going to have a massive effect and when [David and Jacob] find out who the father is – if it's Maya's baby!" executive producer Jane Hudson recently told Digital Spy and other media.

There are thought to be no immediate plans for Louisa Clein, who plays Maya, to return to the regular cast.
Emmerdale airs an hour-long episode on Christmas Day at 7pm on ITV.
