Next week's Emmerdale episodes see some of our favourite characters pushed to breaking point in the aftermath of the deadly fire at the factory.

1. Rishi and Manpreet come under suspicion
The upcoming blaze at the Sharmas' sweet factory is accidentally caused by Kerry and Amy, but Soapland just wouldn't be Soapland without the wrong people being put in the frame as suspects.
As the Sharmas consider what the future holds now their beloved business lies in ruins, Jai and Priya both become increasingly suspicious that Rishi and Manpreet started the fire themselves in an insurance scam.
2. Jai makes a concerning discovery
Another big source of tension for the Sharmas is the high-interest loan that Rishi took out from Kim just one week before the blaze was started.
The family desperately try to get their finances in order in preparation for the uphill struggle ahead, but Jai is horrified when he reads the terms of Kim's loan for the first time. Jai can't believe that Rishi agreed to such strict conditions and can see no way forward as a result.

3. Manpreet considers doing a runner
As Jai continues to bicker with Rishi over the mess he has caused, Manpreet feels terrible for her role in causing the financial problems. Deciding they'd all be better off without her, Manpreet rushes off to pack her things up.
Later, Jai and Priya return home and find Manpreet preparing to make a run for it. Knowing that Manpreet going AWOL would just make everything worse, can the Sharma siblings convince her to stay by Rishi's side?
4. Jai considers his own deal with Kim
Seeing how vulnerable the Sharma family are right now, Kim swoops in with a "helpful" offer to buy the factory and help them get back on track.
Jai knows that Kim can never be trusted, but his situation grows more concerning as the factory staff complain over unpaid wages. The insurance company also hints that it may not pay out, as the fire alarm was mysteriously switched off at the factory when the blaze took hold.
After more taunts from Kim, who knows she has the Sharmas right where she wants them, Jai meets with her to discuss the situation. It might be time to make a deal with the devil.
5. Kerry and Amy make a pact over the fire
Stress levels are just as high for Kerry and Amy, who unwittingly started the fire after stealing charity money from the factory safe.
As the Wyatts aren't totally sure whether they caused the fire or not, Kerry goes into denial by insisting that there must be another explanation. Wishful thinking.
Kerry encourages Amy to act normal to avoid arousing suspicion, but later struggles to contain her own guilt when the factory safe is opened and everyone realises the charity money is missing.
6. Kerry faces a difficult police quiz
Kerry later becomes a suspect in the case and is called down to the police station for questioning. Struggling under the pressure of the interrogation, Kerry accidentally slips up as the detectives notice a hole in her story.
Kerry then goes into overdrive with her attempts to cover her tracks, shifting the blame by implicating somebody else.
7. Nate nearly discovers the truth
Once Kerry returns home from the police station, she's alarmed to overhear an intense conversation between Amy and her boyfriend Nate.
Anxious Amy almost confesses the truth to Nate, leaving Kerry terrified at how close they came to having a third party knowing about their terrible secret.
8. Kerry lets her guilt show
Later in the week, Kerry overhears Bernice and Nicola discussing fundraising again after the previous money went missing. Kerry suddenly blurts out that she'll be holding her own fundraiser for the children's hospital, wanting to do all she can to help the good cause.
As Kerry is hardly known for a history of charitable endeavours, Amy fears that she's being way too obvious about her guilt. Although Amy wants her mum to keep a low profile, the ball is already rolling and Bernice agrees to let Kerry use the salon for her fundraising event.
9. Debbie prepares to leave
We don't have Debbie Dingle on our screens for much longer, as Charley Webb is now on a maternity break.
As Debbie settles on the idea of moving away to Scotland to work at the garage she inherited from Lisa, she's pleased when Sarah offers her full support. However, Cain is more wary as he fears that Charity won't take the news well.
10. Vanessa and Charity plan to move
Debbie's departure will mean there's an empty house in the village, which is good news for Vanity and their plans to get their own place.
Vanessa is delighted to hear that she and Charity will be moving into Debbie's home once she has left, but there's a catch to the arrangement that she hadn't expected.
11. Robert and Aaron's surrogacy plans suffer a setback
After the recent dramatic events with Lee, Robert decides that it's time to focus on his marriage again – in particular, the surrogacy plans that he and Aaron had been making with Natalie.
Robert tries to persuade a reluctant Aaron that it's time to take the next step, but when they hear that Natalie is having second thoughts, could the decision be taken out of their hands anyway?
12. Nate receives some disappointing news
Nate also receives some bad news when Pete lets him know that Moira has gone away on a trip to Nana Barton's.
Nate has spent most of his time trying to seduce Moira recently, but it seems that his plans will have to go on hold for a while. No complaints here.
