Next week's Emmerdale episodes explore more unsettling developments in the Lee Posner storyline, while Pete Barton and Rhona Goskirk reach a crossroads in their relationship.
Here's a full set of ten storylines you can look forward to.
1. Victoria faces more pressure from Wendy
As Victoria remains determined to leave the village and seek a fresh start elsewhere, she's pleased as her deposit is accepted on a property to rent.
Sadly, Victoria's optimism doesn't last for long as she receives a letter from Lee's mum Wendy, who demands a DNA test for the baby. It's clear that Wendy won't be giving up easily when it comes to access to her grandchild.
2. Robert puts Dawn in danger
Victoria's brother Robert has his own big plans, hoping he can convince her to stick around by sparking Lee's downfall. When Robert learns that Dawn wants money to support her son Lucas, he offers her £500 to help him catch out Lee once and for all.
Robert's dangerous idea is for Dawn to feign a romantic interest in Lee and trick him into revealing his true colours in a place where there's CCTV as proof. Dawn demands a higher payment, but agrees to the deal.
What to Read Next
Aaron is horrified when he learns of Robert's plan and immediately heads off to intervene before things get out of hand. Robert follows, but it may already be too late as Dawn is flirting with Lee at a bar and he suggests going somewhere quieter.
3. Pete proposes again
Things seem to be looking up for Pete and Rhona when a surprise re-proposal leads to a romantic afternoon. Although Rhona has been having some secret doubts over her future with Pete, she appears to react well when he drops down on one knee to pop the question again.
Rhona heads to bed with Pete for the first time since her accident, leaving them both hopeful that they're finally moving on from a turbulent few months. But that may be wishful thinking…
4. Pete and Rhona's engagement party is make or break
Rhona isn't the only one with some doubts, as Pete also confides in his ex-fiancée Leyla about his fears over never having children of his own.
Later, Rhona and Pete gather for a surprise engagement party that Vanessa has organised for them at the pub. Although this should be a happy occasion, there's an awkward atmosphere between Rhona and Pete as they struggle to hide their uncertainty over the future. Can they make it through this, or is it time to end things between them?
5. Lydia faces her past
After opening up over her tragic past, Lydia is determined to leave the village but Sam is desperate for her to stay.
Making one last-minute effort to keep Lydia in his life before she leaves forever, Sam offers to accompany her to the burial site where the remains of the baby were found.
Sam thinks this could bring Lydia closure, but agrees to accept her decision to go if it doesn't end up being helpful. Once there, Lydia finally succumbs to her grief and breaks down. Is there still a future for Lydia and Sam?
6. Jacob shows his support to David
As David continues to worry about his hospital results, there's a pleasant surprise when Jacob arrives to support him at his appointment.
Jacob hasn't wanted anything to do with David for months now, but this seems to be the first sign that things could get back to the way they were.
7. Bernice makes a shock discovery
Bernice's doubts over her relationship with Liam escalate when she stumbles across more suspicious-looking items in his possession.
Liam may have been able to explain away that dodgy-looking balaclava a few days ago, but Bernice reacts in horror when she and Nicola find a bloody shirt and scalpel hidden away in the doctor's briefcase. Is there another innocent explanation, or has Bernice fallen for the village's next serial killer?
8. Doug fights to stay in control
Doug is still loving every minute of being in charge of the village's new football team – and he won't let his pesky back injury stand in his way.
Although Bob and Bear are both waiting in the wings to take over his responsibilities, stubborn Doug refuses to relinquish control. But is this really in the team's best interests?
9. Gerry is gone but not forgotten
Unfairly-axed Gerry has one last surprise in store – cannabis plants that he'd been growing before he was brutally murdered by Lachlan.
When Liv shows the plants to Doug, they decide to keep this as their own secret for the time being. We're sure Gerry is smiling up there somewhere…
10. Jai and Laurel's secrecy continues
Jai and Laurel continue to enjoy the buzz of their secret relationship, still determined that nobody should know about them for the time being.
As they continue to sneak around together, are they any closer to being rumbled?
