EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick has predicted that Ben Mitchell will make an Albert Square comeback eventually.
Harry Reid bowed out from the role of Ben at the start of the year, as Phil's troublesome son fled to France after an ill-fated attempt to steal Aidan Maguire's heist money.

Since leaving EastEnders, Harry has taken on the role of Leonard Vole in Agatha Christie's Witness for the Prosecution at the London County Hall. His eight-month run in the part ends next month, when the production gets a new cast.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Jamie – who plays Jay Brown – explained: "Of course I would like to see Ben back. Harry has been very busy doing his play, which is fantastic. I've already seen it twice and I'm going to see it once more before he finishes next month.
"Then who knows? Watch this space. Ben left in a way that was kind of unexplained.
"I suppose he's got to come back at some point, whether it's now or whether it's in two years or three years. But of course I'd love to have him back."
Harry will also be busy over Christmas this year, playing Dandini in a production of Cinderella at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury, Kent.
EastEnders now has a new boss in charge as former Emmerdale and Coronation Street producer Kate Oates has taken over as showrunner.
Kate will be working alongside executive consultant John Yorke until the end of the year, taking full control from 2019. Could a return for Ben be in her plans? Only time will tell.
EastEnders airs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays on BBC One.
