EastEnders will kick off Kat Slater's return storyline next week as Big Mo heads back to the Square to make a shock death announcement.
Jessie Wallace is reprising her role as the fan favourite after two years away from the main show, but not before the Slaters receive some shock news about her fate.
Stacey will be left horrified when she reunites with Big Mo in next week's scenes, only to be told that Kat is dead.
Stacey is initially curious when she realises she's had several missed calls from Big Mo, but struggles to get hold of her afterwards.
Returning home later on, Stacey is stunned when she finds Big Mo waiting for her with the news of Kat's tragic death.
Given that we know Kat is obviously not dead, fans will have to tune in to see how this intriguing plot unfolds over the coming weeks – and just why Big Mo has come to deliver this information.
