EastEnders viewers were reminiscing over their own memories of Jamie Mitchell's (Jack Ryder) heartbreaking death 15 years ago on last night's (March 17) episode.
In a rare moment of openness, Martin Fowler (James Bye) talked to his daughter Bex (Jasmine Carol Armfield) about fatally running over Jamie outside a tube station all those years ago.
Bex is currently struggling with bullying at school and a revenge porn scandal, though Martin reassured her that her mistakes were not as big as his.
"You're not the only one, you know?" Martin said. "Everyone looking at you, talking about you, feeling like you're the local freak. All that happened to me when I was your age."
He added: "It's just one little mistake, a stupid mistake. I thought I'd never get over it."
"I deserved that - all the looks, all the talks. But it passed. You don't deserve any of this. You made a mistake - but nothing compared to what I did. Remember that."

If you don't remember that, here's that heartbreaking scene from 15 years ago to jog your memory:
Of course, back in 2002 Martin Fowler was played by James Alexandrou, so it's a little harder to place James Bye's incarnation of the character as the same one who killed Jamie, but the character is still the same and Martin's heart-to-heart with his daughter naturally jolted fans' memories of Jamie:
Jamie's heartbreaking death happened in December of 2002, with his then-fiancée, and Bex's mother, Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) keeping vigil by his bedside as he succumbed to his injuries in the crash and died on Christmas Day.
EastEnders continues on Monday (March 20) at 8pm on BBC One.
