Ian and Jane Beale just breathed massive sighs of relief on EastEnders, as Max Branning appeared to forgive them for causing his prison ordeal.
The fan favourite has returned to Albert Square after more than a year away, and we've been on tenterhooks to find out whether he'll be getting his revenge against the Beales.
Ian and Jane left Max to rot in jail for Lucy's murder last year, knowing that Bobby was the true culprit. So when they found out that he was back in Walford on Boxing Day, both were pretty panicked over what he might do next.
Ian even considered packing their bags to escape the wrath of Max, but when the Beales finally plucked up the courage to join him for a drink at the Queen Vic, they were in for a very pleasant surprise.
Rather than swearing revenge and issuing threats, Max couldn't have been any calmer or more charming as he promised the Beales that all was forgiven and forgotten.
As Jane and Ian made their heartfelt apologies outside the pub, Max told them: "You were just looking out for your kid. Honestly, I get it."

Quizzed on why he was back, Max replied: "Well, it's Christmas. It makes you think about what you really want. All I want is a quiet life. Let go of the past, just concentrate on the future."
After shaking Jane and Ian's hands, Max even went to the trouble of buying them a drink at the bar. It's a Christmas miracle!
Or was it all actually too good to be true? We know that Max sent mystery gifts to the Square's residents this year, including that Christmas pudding for the Beales with a sick message "from Lucy".
His crackers to the Mitchells also showed that he hasn't forgotten Phil's role in sending him down, either.
Could it be that Max is just biding his time before getting his revenge? Is there a cunning plan behind that smile? This is Soapland, so we certainly won't be taking Max's forgiveness at face value...
EastEnders continues on Tuesday (December 27) at 7.30pm on BBC One.
