Welcome to Walford, Mark Junior!
Yep, EastEnders bosses have finally brought in the character that we've all spent the past few months speculating endlessly about - Grant Mitchell's secret son.
What to Read Next
Ned Porteous has been cast in the role of Mark, who made a surprise appearance when he paid a visit to his uncle Martin in the closing scene of Thursday night's episode (August 11).
EastEnders kept typically quiet about Mark's arrival before transmission, but with Sharon Mitchell describing him in great detail earlier this week, it's fair to say there were a few clues along the way for fans to pick up on.
So what do we know about Mark? Show chiefs are billing him as a "warm, caring and honest young man", who's coming to Albert Square in search of answers after being contacted by Phil.
The big questions now are whether Mark should be careful about what he wishes for, and whether we'll get to see that long-awaited moment he meets Grant. (With Grant coming back in the near future, signs are pointing to yes!)
We also shouldn't forget that, despite being raised by his mum Michelle Fowler, Mark is also half Mitchell. Could he have a dangerous side which emerges as time goes on?
Speaking of his casting, newbie Ned commented: "Being part of two iconic families and the longest-kept secret in EastEnders history is beyond exciting!
"I'm honoured to be here and can't wait for viewers to properly meet Mark Jr."
In the unlikely event you do still need a recap, Michelle left Walford and fled to Florida when she was pregnant with Mark in 1995.
The revelation of Mark's true paternity didn't reach the Mitchells until this year, exploding a 21-year soap timebomb.
Ned will be appearing in EastEnders as Mark for a handful of episodes.
