EastEnders has pulled off another big surprise, with Grant Mitchell making an unexpected appearance at his mum Peggy's funeral.
Ross Kemp popped up in a very brief scene in Monday night's emotional episode (July 4), as Grant secretly watched Peggy's burial from afar.
Keen to be there for his mum's send-off, a tearful Grant turned up with the intention of laying a flower by her grave - although he really wasn't keen to make his presence felt this time.
Grant managed to keep his brief visit a complete secret, with none of the Mitchells realising that he'd been there at all.
EastEnders also kept Grant's involvement in tonight's episode under wraps, providing an element of surprise for fans who tuned in to watch live.
As Grant's sister Sam (Danniella Westbrook) had told everyone that he wouldn't be coming, fans took her word for it and thought that he wouldn't be part of the episode.

While this appearance for Grant was only brief, he'll be back on Albert Square once again in a few weeks' time and will be featuring in multiple episodes.
Show bosses have promised a dramatic return stint for Grant, but whether he'll live up to his recent promise to "bring a war" to his brother Phil remains to be seen.
Monday's episode also included another big surprise, as Phil discovered that Peggy had once grassed up his father Eric to the police and had him jailed for robbery - all to save Phil from any further beatings from his abusive dad.
Knowing how difficult it would have been for Peggy to break the Mitchell family code, Phil was stunned and later paid a moving tribute to her during her wake at the Queen Vic.
