EastEnders spoilers follow.
Next week on EastEnders, the ghost of Christmas past comes back to haunt Denise, Martin has a complicated time, and things look dire for Linda Carter as she chooses the bottle over her family.

1. Linda makes a dangerous choice
The week starts with Linda in a bad way following Elaine's ultimatum. When presented with the choice between her family and alcohol, she chooses the bottle and walks away from Albert Square.
In perhaps the most self-destructive state she has ever been in, Linda heads off into the night with plans to drink herself into oblivion.
Will anyone be able to stop her, or is Linda about to lose her battle against alcoholism? With the recent news about an upcoming funeral centred around the Carter clan, things are not looking good for her.

2. Martin makes a big decision
There's bad news for Martin and Ruby when they learn that Roman's liver donor is not a viable candidate, but when Martin learns that he's a match, it doesn't take him long to offer himself up as the donor his son needs.
However, those around Martin, particularly Lily, are concerned about what life will look like for them should something go wrong with the operation.
While Martin puts on a brave face, he soon confides in Stacey over how scared he is about the whole thing. The heart-to-heart between the two of them leads to him trying to kiss her, but how will Stacey react?
3. Cindy and Lauren clash
Lauren is determined to kick the pills for the sake of her baby, and she remains set on doing so even when Cindy offers her more. It seems she's chosen the right time to do so, as she's forced to face a hospital visit when her symptoms worsen.
Cindy soon learns that Lauren has been using while pregnant and she is furious, leading to a fiery confrontation between the pair.
This ends with Lauren being given a choice – either she confesses the truth to Peter, or Cindy will do it for her. What will Lauren decide, and will Peter be understanding if he learns what has been happening?
4. Martin and Stacey navigate their feelings
Following on from Martin's attempt to kiss Stacey, the pair deal with the awkwardness, on top of all the drama the family is already facing due to Roman's condition.
As Martin tries to work out how he feels, Stacey is also rattled. She seeks out Jean for a chat to work out how she really feels about the whole situation. Are these two set to reunite, or will there be a Ruby shaped spanner thrown into the mix?
5. Peter plans a proposal
While Lauren deals with the pressure that Cindy's putting on her, Ian helps Peter come to a decision – to propose to Lauren so that she knows he is serious about wanting to be with her and the baby.
But while Peter makes plans, Lauren is continuing to struggle, and the secrets and lies surrounding her look set to lead to disaster as the week continues. Will Peter get the chance to pop the question?
6. Avani gets a job
Avani is in need of some cash and so begins a job hunt that leads her to the doors of the salon. Working her charm on Denise, she's able to persuade her to give her a job – but she doesn't have the best of starts.
Jack lets Denise know that someone called the police to report a sighting of Nish, and later the salon is visited by two men in masks who claim they're there because Nish has sent them.
A rattled Denise beings to worry that the troubles she's been through this year are not as over as she had hoped…
7. Stacey confides in Jean
Jean is determined that the Slater family are going to have the happiest of Christmases and that means getting things organised as soon as possible.
But while she preps for the festivities, she has to put that on pause to be there for Stacey, who remains confused following her encounter with Martin. Will Jean be able to give Stacey the advice she needs?
8. Ravi gets close to the truth
Ravi gets the lowdown about what went on at the salon from Avani. Unhappy, he heads straight to see Denise to have it out with her – but finds her in the midst of a panic attack when he gets there.
Denise's condition softens Ravi's mood, and he begins to question her as to why a reminder of Nish was enough to rattle her so badly.
Denise begins to open up, but just how much about the events of Christmas Day 2023 will she spill? And how will Ravi react if he learns the truth about Nish's attack and what happened to Keanu?
