EastEnders’ Kat Slater is to receive a mysterious message next week, amid Bianca Jackson’s dramatic kidnap plot.

This week’s episodes saw Kat finally reunite with Alfie Moon, when she surprised him with a kiss after he managed to make progress with Tommy in their social services meeting.

Both of them were confused about their situation, and they agreed that they should just be friends. But a hilarious fire extinguisher fight made them realise their true feelings and they decided to get back together.

However, they soon run into Kat’s ex-husband Phil, who discovers that they are back together – and he might not be best pleased by this news.

But Kat has bigger problems to deal with, as she is likely to be worried about her close friend Bianca, whose whereabouts are currently unknown to the rest of the Square.

Viewers know that this week, Bianca found out the truth about Debbie’s death and was proven right that it was Reiss who killed his wife.

With Bianca threatening to go to the police, Reiss lured her to his ominous lock-up, which he said contained evidence that could free Sonia from prison.

However, it was a trap, and Reiss attempted to smother her with a blanket, then left her chained up in the small container overnight.

His twisted plan is to hold Bianca hostage in the lock-up until Sonia gets released in prison – and this could take some time, as her murder trial currently isn’t for months.

Back in Walford, the residents believe that Bianca has disappeared to escape the police, as it is known that she hit Reiss over the head with a candlestick on Bonfire Night.

Kat might be concerned about where her friend has got to, but she soon receives a text from ‘Bianca’ that explains things and says that she is laying low for a while.

The text might reassure Kat, but with Bianca still chained up, it feels unlikely that she sent the message herself, and it could be part of Reiss’ current scheme.

Will Kat discover the truth, and will Bianca be found?

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
