Jack struggles after an ultimatum from Denise, but Stacey encourages him to do whatever Denise asks. Stacey decides to help Denise get her marriage back on track, so they arrange a barbecue for both sides of baby Charli's family.
During the barbecue, Stacey encourages Jack to focus on being there for Denise and they share a goodbye kiss. Martin walks in and is shocked to spot Stacey and Jack together.
Meanwhile, Gloria visits George on his birthday, but she angers him by protesting that he had a happy childhood. George is concerned by his own outburst and he confides in Elaine.
