Lauren returns for Dot's funeral. Sonia confides in Lauren, Ricky and Jack about how she's struggling to write her eulogy for the service. Martin finds Sonia thinking in the launderette and encourages her to speak from the heart at the funeral.
Later, Sonia is surprised when Colin Russell arrives to pay his respects at the service.
Other mourners include Mary and Disa. Mary explains that Lofty is also en route, but he arrives at the church late just as Sonia is about to deliver the eulogy.
Later, Kathy reflects on how Dot took people in – like Disa and Donna – when others had turned their backs.
