EastEnders has lined up a dramatic stabbing scene in the Nish Panesar storyline.
Suki Panesar's former husband is due to be released soon from prison, so he's been pulling the strings on his family from behind bars for the past few weeks.

First, he got his secret son Ravi Gulati to convince Vinny to visit him in prison in hopes of being able to move back in with the family once he's out. Suki refused, arguing that the family are better without him.

In scenes to air next week, Stacey is alarmed to see Suki rudely shooing away Eve when telling Kheerat about an upcoming business meeting.
Suki has no idea that her son Vinny isn't giving up on reuniting with Nish, going so far as to meet with his parole officer. In this secret meeting, the officer confirms Nish will be released from prison the next day.
Vinny is planning to share the news with Suki, until Ravi once again steps into manipulate him by suggesting it'd be better for Nish's return to be a surprise.

Viewers will see that something sinister is in the works when a guard eyes up Nish as Vinny comes for a visit to promise everything is being sorted for his release.
Nish swears his son to secrecy over his arrival in the Square, as he clearly has his own reasons for wanting to keep Suki out of the loop.
The following day, Nish's prison release doesn't happen because he's stabbed on the way out. Soon, Vinny gets an alarming call about his father's condition.
Vinny can't believe it when he's informed the prison will still be releasing Nish in spite of the stabbing, and soon, the man himself makes a surprise appearance in the Square.
How will the Panesars react to Nish's return?
