Scarlett Butcher has made a shock discovery about mum Janine over the car crash in EastEnders.
Thus far, Janine has been able to distance herself from last week's crash by making it look like Linda was drunk behind the wheel. In reality, Janine was driving when the crash occurred.
While the Carters have no reason to suspect Janine yet, her own daughter Scarlett has started to think her mum might not be telling the truth about Linda's accident.
In Monday's episode (June 13), Janine realised that Scarlett was catching on to her lies when her daughter asked about the mysterious cut on her forehead.
After Scarlett told Sonia about the secretive way her mum has been acting, it looked like Janine might finally be caught out — yet it soon emerged that Sonia had the wrong end of the stick.

"You're proposing, aren't you?" Sonia asked Janine.
Janine teared up as Sonia gave her support, saying she and Mick made "a really sweet couple". However, Scarlett certainly wasn't ready to let the crash go.
"I think you had something to do with Linda crashing her car," Scarlett accused.
Scarlett accused her mum of "acting weird" since the crash, sending Janine scrambling to convince Scarlett she just had "an overactive imagination".
"I've been acting weird because it's been a very hard week," Janine claimed.
Scarlett threatened to go to Sonia with her suspicions, but Janine bundled her out under the guise of getting a doughnut together.
Janine then confessed she'd been in the car with Linda, yet lied to her daughter that she'd done everything she could to help.
"Were you driving?" Scarlett asked.
Janine bristled as she insisted she wasn't behind the wheel, then swore to her daughter she was only acting in the family's best interest. She told her daughter: "Whatever I do, I do for us."
Mick was looking on from a distance, none the wiser over what Janine had done to Linda. Will Scarlett go to Mick with the truth?
