EastEnders has offered the first look at Sam Mitchell's return in new pictures.
The black sheep of the Mitchell family will be returning to Walford beginning on Tuesday, April 19, with new preview pictures teasing a commotion when Sam first arrives.
Kim Medcalf is reprising the role of Sam for this stint, after previously replacing the original Sam actress Danniella Westbrook during a three-year stretch from 2002 to 2005.

Soap bosses have already promised that it won't be long before Sam resumes some old feuds and ruffles feathers with the residents of Walford – and there are plenty of new residents she's never clashed with before!

When her return was announced in January, BBC's head of continuing drama Kate Oates teased: "The Mitchells are one of the most iconic families in soap, and I have long wanted to bring Sam back into the family fold.
"With Phil potentially facing a long spell inside, Sam arrives back in Walford ready to take what she sees as her rightful place in the Mitchell empire. But with strong grudges against Kat, Sharon, Jack and Denise, to name but a few, her return is guaranteed to be explosive…"
During Kim's previous tenure playing Sam, the character was involved in some of EastEnders' most notorious storylines of all-time.

Most notably, Kim schemed with Zoe Slater and Chrissie Watts to get revenge on 'Dirty' Den Watts, only to face the blame for his murder even though he'd attacked them first.
Sam fled to Brazil to escape punishment for Den's murder, though Danniella Westbrook's version of the character has since returned a few times (most notably for her mother Peggy's funeral in 2016).
Away from the Square, Kim Medcalf has worked steadily in TV drama with notable appearances in the BBC's crime series Missing and the thriller Collateral.
EastEnders airs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One and streams on BBC iPlayer.
