New EastEnders images reveal a troubled and pensive Mick Carter, as Janine Butcher continues with her mission to break up his already rocky marriage to Linda.
In recent weeks, EastEnders fans have watched Janine attempt to seduce Mick with little to no luck – with the Walford baddie even going in for a kiss under the mistletoe at Christmas.
Although Mick has managed to avoid Janine's sly advances so far, two brand new images from tonight's (December 31) episode suggest that her plans to drive an even bigger wedge between the Carters could actually be getting somewhere finally.

The past week's awkwardness with Janine after the failed kiss saw Mick scrambling to get in touch with Linda as he put together plans for a Broadway-themed New Year's Eve party in her honour.

But before Linda could reply to her husband, Janine grabbed Mick's phone and texted Linda to say that she was no longer invited, before swiftly deleting the messages.
Following a visit to Linda's mum's pub, where an unsuspecting Linda opened up to Janine, Janine's spiteful plan to keep Linda away from Walford now appears to be working.

After taking a photo of Linda drinking, Janine shows the image to Mick, claiming that she has proof Linda has turned to alcohol once again.
Janine makes it her mission to put the final nail in the coffin and end Mick's marriage for good – but will he listen to her vitriol or will he come to his senses?
