EastEnders has revealed that Stacey Slater has married fellow prisoner Eve Unwin.

The surprise was unveiled in Thursday's (October 28) episode as the Slater family faced trouble on all sides following Stacey's release from prison earlier this week.

Earlier this week, Stacey left ex-husband Martin Fowler reeling with the news that she'd got married while serving time behind bars, just as he was about to confess his true feelings for her.

The family had bigger problems to worry about when Stacey discovered her kids had stolen Jags' watch from the Panesars as revenge for the way they'd treated Jean over the broken boiler.

Before Stacey could return the watch, her probation arrived for their first check-in! At that very moment, Suki Panesar was seething with anger as she planned her revenge over the theft.

Suki interrupted the Slaters' meeting with the probation officer, then handed them an eviction notice once she noticed Jags' watch was in their house after all.

"So much for prison rehabilitation," Suki quipped while addressing Stacey's probation officer.

While it initially looked as if Stacey could be back in jail for a probation violation, she was ultimately given a serious warning instead.

"There's Eve to consider as well. I know what she's like. She needs a place to call home," Stacey's probation officer insisted.

Jean was left confused over who Eve is, with a nervous Stacey having to explain: "I got married mum. Eve's my wife."
