EastEnders veteran Rudolph Walker is keen to continue playing Patrick Trueman for as long as possible.
Approaching his 82nd birthday, the Trinidadian star made his Walford debut all the way back in 2001 and has enjoyed some wonderful storylines across these two decades.
In conversation with Inside Soap, Walker was questioned about how much longer he sees himself in front of the camera.

"Oh, as long as EastEnders wants me," he stated. "At the moment I am enjoying it, and I will continue to enjoy it for as long as it's physically and mentally possible."
Reminiscing about his character's saucy scenes with Pat Butcher eight years ago, Walker went on to comment: "Patrick's affair with Pat was a pleasant surprise. It was an ingenious thing that the writers did at the time because it was totally unexpected. It was such a joy doing those scenes with [Pat star] Pat St Clement.
