Kat realises that she needs to be honest with Tommy, so she tells him that Alfie isn't his biological dad – his late uncle Michael was. Tommy is shocked to learn that Scarlett is his sister and this makes him more determined that they need to help her.
Later, Kat arrives at the courthouse and tells the social worker that she'd like to become Scarlett's carer. She adds that it'd be for the best if Scarlett never sees her real mum again.
Meanwhile, Jean realises that Ruby didn't tell Martin the truth while she was away. Jean also discovers that the marijuana in the garage didn't die while she was away – it has grown more than ever, leaving her with a predicament.
Elsewhere, Gray sends Shirley a fake text from Tina, making out that she wants money.
