EastEnders has included a reference to the Euro 2020 final in Monday's (July 12) episode.
A new scene was filmed and placed in ready for when the show was broadcast at 8.05pm tonight on BBC One, with the updated episode set to replace the one that's been previously available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
The scene took place between Billy (Perry Fenwick), Kim (Tameka Empson) and Bobby (Clay Milner Russell). The episode opened with a downtrodden Billy returning to the Square after the crushing Euros defeat.

"You know, I was 7 when we won the World Cup," he lamented to Bobby. "I thought with Harry [Redknapp] turning up here on Friday, it was a sign. It was fate!"
Kim walked up to join the two, suggesting: "He should have brought on another attacker, and killed 'em off. And we would have won, 1-0! I had to put on Love Island in the end, it got too much!"

With Billy only sinking deeper into the depths, Kim tried to cheer him up by pointing out: "Don't worry boys, the World Cup's next year, innit?"
Executive Producer Jon Sen announced the special scene: "Although it's only a small scene, with England's performance in the Euros capturing the hearts of the nation over the past month it's only right that the residents of Walford would be talking about last night's historical match."
Sadly for England fans, it's not coming home after the team were narrowly beaten by Italy during penalties.
This isn't the first time the soap has added a football reference into the show, though.
Last-minute inserts about the World Cup have previously been included in the soap, as have references to royal babies.
In other EastEnders news, it was recently revealed that Kate Robbins will be appearing on the show as music agent Jen Glover. Kate has many career achievements, including being an actress, singer and comedian.
She's also the mother of The Inbetweeners actress and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star Emily Atack, who wished her well on her new role.
"She's comin' home," Emily wrote alongside the official BBC photo, which she posted to Instagram Stories. "Kate joins EastEnders. You're a legend."

Speaking about her new gig, Kate said: "I am so excited to be joining EastEnders as Jen, we had a ball filming the scenes. It was surreal to be sat in The Queen Vic for my first scenes with some of the legends of Albert Square.
"Working alongside the team was a dream and I can't wait to see the scenes on screen."
EastEnders airs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays on BBC One. All of this week's episodes are currently available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
