Max Branning and Ian Beale are on a collision course in EastEnders.
In scenes airing next week, Max is happy that his divorce from Rainie Branning is finally being sorted out.
To thank Ian for all of his help, Max tells him to pocket £2k of what he owes, but he wants the remainder of it back right away.

Meanwhile, Ian enters a meeting with Councillor Douglas in an attempt to get his backing for the Chair of the Planning Committee seat.
Kathy becomes concerned over Ian's financial situation when he suggests that this meeting is the only way out.

Later on, she overhears Max joking about the ways he'll force the money out of Ian, but Kathy then accidentally reveals that her son doesn't need the extra stress right now, which naturally piques Max's interest.

As the meeting gets underway at Walford East, Max storms in and openly accuses Ian of betraying him and stealing his money.
Fumbling for excuses, Ian throws a few in his confronter's direction, but it's clear that Max is hungry for his money back.
Previously, actor Jake Wood explained: "Max half-owns the restaurant with Ian Beale, but I think, just before lockdown, you saw him sign it over to Ian because he's trying to hide the money from Rainie.
"Because, obviously, the divorce has been finalised, so Ian offers to take on half of the business to prevent Rainie to get half of the divorce money. Max thought it was a great idea at the minute."
