EastEnders' Callum Highway will be left in a major dilemma after making an unsettling discovery about his boyfriend Ben Mitchell.
Ben (Max Bowden) will be preparing for his cochlear implant switch-on when we catch up with him next week, with Callum determined to support him.
Having been fast-tracked by the police, Callum (Tony Clay) is adamant that Ben comes before his work responsibilities and vows to be there on the life-changing day.

Wanting to take the next step in their relationship and show his gratitude, Ben is secretly planning to present Callum with a key to the Mitchell household.

All seems to be going swimmingly in Ballum world, until Callum is later tasked with looking through CCTV footage – and stumbles across something concerning.
As Callum trawls through the footage from a warehouse job, he is stunned when he recognises a figure in the shadows and realises it's Ben.
To make matters more complicated, Callum's boss is targeting Danny Hardcastle and he wants all evidence of his involvement at the warehouse, including anyone else associated.

With Callum now in a serious dilemma over what to do, Ben is wondering where he is as he waits at the hospital.
Despite promising to be there for Ben's appointment, Callum gets waylaid as he desperately tries to stop his boss from enhancing the grainy image of Ben.
Thankfully, Callum manages to arrive at the hospital just in time to see the switch-on, but Ben becomes upset by his boyfriend's distracted behaviour later in the week.
Aware that something is going on, Ben pushes Callum for answers but to no avail.

Wanting to test Ben, Callum later tells him that the police are looking into Danny Hardcastle. However, when Ben proceeds to lie, a hurt Callum storms off.
As Ben's hopes of them moving in together rapidly begin to fade away, he is stunned when he realises the true cause of Callum's mood.
Ben insists he never wanted to put Callum in this position, but with Callum demanding the truth – what will he do?
