EastEnders star Danny Dyer has teased Mick Carter's "best story ever" when the show returns later in the year.
The show is currently on a hiatus, after running out of regular episodes to screen, leaving fans on a cliffhanger regarding Mick and Linda's future.
A major twist unveiled Sharon Watts as The Vic's new owner, following the Carter couple's decision to sell up and start afresh elsewhere.

Danny Dyer and Kellie Bright, who play Mick and Linda respectively, joined Stacey Dooley for a chat in last night's first episode of EastEnders: Secrets of the Square – a spin-off that has been devised to bridge the gap while the BBC soap is off air.
Teasing what viewers can expect to see when the show does eventually return, Danny said: "Essentially, we are all going to be coming out of lockdown in the show like the rest of the country."
While Kellie added: "There are some testing times ahead for Mick and Linda."
Dropping another big teaser, Danny added: "I think when we come out of lockdown I could potentially have the best story I've ever had on the show."
During his chat with Stacey, Danny also spoke about landing the part as landlord Mick seven years ago.
"I had been acting for a long time but then the wheels started to fall off," Danny explained.
"I made some bad decisions but I am more well-rounded and grounded now. I couldn't get any work so I was earning money from doing PAs in nightclubs and waving from a balcony. That was paying my mortgage.
"So when I got the call from EastEnders, I was like 'Oh my God, I can actually save my career here'. I thought I was going to be playing a gangster but then I found out he was this alpha male character who wore a pink dressing gown and was really loving."
EastEnders will air the iconic two-hander between Den and Angie Watts at 7.30pm on BBC One tonight.
