EastEnders fans will be able to watch even more classic episodes from 2008 on BBC iPlayer starting next week.

The soap previously announced it would be airing old episodes to keep fans entertained while the show goes on a summer break. It's now been confirmed that extra episodes will be available to stream on iPlayer from Monday, June 22.

Four episodes a week will be available to stream, giving fans the chance to relive the arrival of Whitney Dean and the Jackson family in Albert Square.

Recent scenes have seen Whitney's problems worsen as she awaits trial for the murder of her stalker Leo King. The villain met his demise at Whitney's hand during the Thames boat party incident, and she's now trying to build her defence.

These classic episodes from 2008 will retrace Whitney's past struggles, including her arguments with mum Bianca (Patsy Palmer, who'll soon be reprising her role on the soap for a short stint), her friendships with the Brannings, and her increasingly tumultuous love life.

In addition to the wealth of classic episodes, the soap will also be introducing a brand new Secrets From The Square series, offering fans a sneak peek into life behind the scenes.

Hosted by Stacey Dooley, the series also kicks off on June 22, and will feature various members of the cast as they reveal secrets from behind the scenes, and offer some insight on what it's like to to play their characters.

EastEnders is currently airing on Monday and Tuesday nights on BBC One, with new episodes of the soap due to run out from Tuesday, June 16. EastEnders: Secrets From The Square will kick off on Monday, June 22.
