EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders will revisit Ruby Allen's former fling with Martin Fowler soon, as they grow closer once again.
Ruby (Louisa Lytton) had a one-night stand with Martin last year, but has since been focusing on her casual relationship with Max Branning.
Max (Jake Wood) is aware of Ruby and Martin's passion and therefore was unimpressed to learn that she'd offered Martin a job at her club. Max was also put out to learn that Ruby was moving house but hadn't informed him of her plans.
With Ruby and Martin now working together, sparks will continue to fly between them – much to Max's frustration – in scenes airing next week.
As Ruby perseveres with her plans to move into number 43, Jack offers a confused Max some advice about his relationship.
What to Read Next
Max, who's already unsure about their future, is further put out when he spots Ruby and Martin flirting.
Wanting to prove himself, Max pulls Vinny up on dealing the laughing gas, but how will Ruby react to this? And has their romance run its course?
Fans will have to wait and see, but it's been obvious for a while that Ruby and Martin's spark was always going to become a talking point when Stacey returned.
Stacey has been off screen since last summer, when she went on the run after attacking Phil Mitchell. In reality, Lacey Turner is on maternity leave after giving birth to her first child.
Speaking about the story last year, Louisa Lytton – who plays Ruby – told The Sun: There is a big storyline coming up next year.
"Lacey Turner is back from maternity leave so things are going to get very juicy, but I can't say anything else."
EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, June 1 and Tuesday, June 2 on BBC One.
