EastEnders has revealed the true cause of its 35th anniversary week boat crash in shocking scenes with the Mitchells and Keanu Taylor.
In Thursday's episode (February 20), it was finally revealed that Keanu (Danny Walters) and Phil's (Steve McFadden) brawl actually caused the party boat to crash into a nearby ferry.
The crash came about after Ben (Max Bowden) tried to get the upper hand on Keanu by taking Sharon (Letitia Dean) hostage at gunpoint, but was forced to call in his mum Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) when she went into labour.
Phil took matters into his own hands by threatening the life of Keanu's mum Karen (Lorraine Stanley), leading Keanu to finally give up Callum's (Tony Clay) location in the abandoned warehouse.
While Shirley (Linda Henry) was sent to bring Halfway home, Keanu, Ben and Phil all converged on the party boat for one last showdown — where Phil shared some home truths.
"I used to tell people what my old man told me when I was a kid, that kindness is a weakness," Phil said. "My old man wasn't right about much, but he was right about that."

He went on: "I love Ben, I do. I love him, but I don't understand him. But with you, it was different because I used to look at you and see myself!"
When Phil grabbed Keanu by the throat and demanded that his captive look at him, Keanu finally broke down with an apology.
"I'm sorry," he told Phil through tears. "I only know my dad through bad pictures and horrible stories, and now that's all my kids are going to know me by.
"I've got no-one to blame but myself. I never meant to hurt you, Phil.
"You were the closest thing I ever had to a dad, and I let you down. I'm so sorry."
It looked as if Keanu's words had an impact on Phil, until he received a phone call from Shirley telling him she couldn't find Callum — even though he was actually nearby.
Rage took over as Phil began beating Keanu around the boat, eventually taking out the ship's captain and forcing Keanu into the wheelhouse. Phil threw Keanu into the wheel, which caused the boat to crash into a nearby junk ferry.
The crash didn't stop Phil from threatening to shoot Keanu, nor did intervention from son Ben. After getting elbowed by his dad, Ben pointed his own handgun at his father.
"Put the gun down," Ben demanded.
Will Phil listen to his son?
