Ben and Phil Mitchell have been arrested in EastEnders over their involvement in Keanu Taylor's disappearance.
The shock scenes aired in Thursday night's (January 23) episode, after Ben (Max Bowden) and Phil (Steve McFadden) discovered that their hired hitman, Martin Fowler (James Bye), kept the phone used in their Christmas plot… and that it had since been stolen!
Ben was forced to admit the screw-up to his father, with an apoplectic Phil assuming that Sharon (Letitia Dean) was behind the plan to get even with them.
Phil then went into the Square in order to put pressure on Lisa and Louise to keep their secret, warning that the whole family could go down otherwise.
Likewise, Martin threatened a drunk Linda: "You need to pull yourself together before you get us killed."
Ben's on-off boyfriend Callum Highway was also drawn in. While he was aware that Ben had taken a life, he was stunned to find out it was Keanu who'd supposedly been whacked.

"Now, everything is falling apart, and there's nothing I can do," Ben confessed. "I'm going to lose everything and maybe that's what I deserve… It's too late. I can't fix this."
One of the only people in the Square to know the truth — that Keanu is actually alive and was helped to escape by Martin and Linda — is Sharon Mitchell.
Sharon nonetheless used estranged husband Phil's paranoia against him by visiting police with evidence she'd presumably nicked from Martin's shed. Then, she headed for the Arches.
When Phil tried to go for Sharon, it was Callum who stepped in to protect her. Ben was shocked to see Halfway intervene, but nothing prepared him for what came next.
Police busted into the Arches to arrest both Ben and Phil for the murder of Keanu Taylor, revealing they'd found the phone with footage of Linda and Martin's staged murder.
Viewers may already know that Keanu won't actually be missing for much longer. Danny Walters is set to return to the soap for the 35th anniversary week for a plot that is expected to see Keanu kidnap Callum to get revenge on Ben.
EastEnders continues on Friday (January 24) at 8pm on BBC One.
