EastEnders fans will have to cope without their usual slice of Monday night action from Albert Square this evening (February 18).

The Walford soap won't air tonight as BBC One is airing live coverage of the Chelsea vs Manchester United game from 7pm.

The good news is that we're not actually missing out on any episodes. Last week, EastEnders aired five times rather than four in order to make up for tonight's absence from the schedules.

EastEnders returns to screens at 7.30pm on Tuesday (February 19), featuring the exciting returns of Mary the Punk and Lofty Holloway for Doctor Legg's funeral.

Linda Davidson and Tom Watt have agreed to briefly reprise their roles for the sombre occasion, which will see them step foot on Albert Square for the first time since the '80s.

Tomorrow's episode will also feature the first appearance of Masood Ahmed's nieces Iqra and Habiba, who are two new regular characters for the show.

There's another slight schedule change ahead later in the week too, as EastEnders shifts to an 8.30pm slot for the next two Fridays.

BBC One has shifted the show to avoid a clash with Coronation Street, which is airing hour-long editions at 7.30pm on Fridays for the next two weeks.
