EastEnders’ Linda Carter went to extreme lengths in order to win sadistic Stuart Highway’s trust in Monday’s episode (December 10), and now there are questions over whether she crossed a line.
Linda (Kellie Bright) has been playing a long game with Stuart (Ricky Champ), trying to con him into believing she is on his side in order to ultimately get a confession for setting up husband Mick (Danny Dyer).
The plot has worked all too well, as Stuart revelled in his newfound authority in the Queen Vic during Monday’s episode, even going so far as to put on Mick’s Father Christmas outfit.
Meanwhile, Linda was haunted by Whitney (Shona McGarty) admitting to her that Mick was desperate to see Ollie, as well as Shirley’s (Linda Henry) ultimatum that she get a confession by the end of the week or else they scrap her plan.
A distraught Linda couldn’t hold in her emotions as she ducked upstairs, with Stuart following to find out what had upset her. With Shirley’s warning ringing in her ears, Linda later made an earth-shattering decision when the two were alone.
In order to get that confession, Linda pulled Stuart in and kissed him after asking him to stay the night! It was all too much for Linda, and she stormed out of the room seconds later… but what was done was done.

With questions over whether Linda will go a step further and sleep with Stuart to get a confession, fans do know the two are headed for a showdown in a tense two-hander episode on Thursday night (December 13).
