Al is awoken by Eve brandishing tea. She tells him that she wants to go home today and arrange to see her own doctor – if she has dementia, she needs to start treatment. Al is shocked at his mother naming the condition so readily, especially as he's struggling to come to terms with it himself.
Reluctantly, Al drives her home and tells her how unfair it is that this is happening to her. He wants her to live closer, but she won't leave her home or friends. Eve tells him that she is 'going with the flow' and won't let this stop her living.
Eve has a nap and when she awakes, she finds that Al has created various memory aides – labelled drawers, phone reminders, and a contact list with photos. He also tells her that he will call at eight every evening. Eve is touched and tells him that he can now leave her safely. Al sadly leaves, struggling more than his mum.
Meanwhile, Sid is still mortified that he stole Ayesha's backstory for the interview. He reveals that he actually had a lot to say and didn't get a chance to. Ayesha suggests he should do a vlog and they both try to record something at Valerie's. Sid is very stiff, his first attempts at speaking are dull and unimaginative. Then Valerie arrives!
Elsewhere, Mrs Tembe tries to help a teenager and his mum, but will it be in time?
