Coronation Street's Peter Barlow is being tipped for a big fire storyline next year, also involving his son Simon.
The Sun is reporting that Peter (Chris Gascoyne) will be caught in a boat fire on the canal with his son Simon (Alex Bain).

The report also states that Simon finds himself trapped below deck as the flames grow, and it's up to Peter to save him.
It's said that although Simon passes out from smoke inhalation, Peter manages to rescue his son by throwing his body over the side.
However, this is still a very early rumour – and unconfirmed. A spokesperson for Corrie told Digital Spy: "We don't comment on storyline speculation."
Meanwhile, Peter has a nasty shock in store for his business partner Carla Connor after he quits the factory.
It was previously revealed that Peter will grow tired of working at Underworld, realising that it's not the job he thought it would be.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
