She might seem harmless, but could there be something sinister lurking behind Rosemary's airy-fairy-ness in Coronation Street?
We have come up with six different reasons that might have brought Rosemary to the cobbles because – let's face it – there's got to be more to this mysterious psychic than meets the eye. After all, she does make a living out of contacting the dead…
1. She's working for Lewis Archer
With the news that Lewis Archer will be gracing our screens once again, could his reappearance in Weatherfield have something to do with the mysterious new psychic? The male escort who loves trying to con the Platts out of their life savings is set to come face-to-face with the family again in the not-too-distant future, but maybe this time he has sent Rosemary to do his dirty work before he arrives?
Knowing that if Gail or Audrey ever saw him again they would be wise to his scheming ways, perhaps he is sending Rosemary to Weatherfield to scam the pair out of all their cash on his behalf.
2. She's in cahoots with Claudia Colby
Rula Lenska is set to reprise her role as Claudia Colby – a fellow salon owner who has been a notorious frenemy to Audrey over the years. With Claudia returning to Coronation Street, maybe she's back to play the ultimate prank on her old acquaintance.
With Rosemary's help, could Claudia be playing a cruel trick on Audrey by making her believe her family is cursed? After all, she would know all the details of the Platts' past, which Rosemary is claiming to have got from beyond the grave. Perhaps the pair of them aren't interested in the family's cold, hard cash, maybe this is one April Fool's joke that has got a little out of hand!

3. She's a long-lost relative of Richard Hillman
We wouldn't wish being related to Richard Hillman on anyone, but could Rosemary be a relative out to seek revenge on the killer's behalf? If she's from the same Hillman gene pool as the man that Gail once dubbed as 'Norman Bates with a briefcase', maybe playing evil games with people's feelings just comes naturally.
We don't really know a lot about mysterious Rosemary. While she spends a lot of her time talking about other people's pasts, she has remained suspiciously vague about her own history. Maybe she is purposely not revealing too much because she has a sinister connection to the man she is claiming to be channelling.
4. She's after their cash
Let's face it, the fact that Rosemary is trying to get her hands on the Platts' cash has crossed every Corrie fan's mind. Audrey's friends Roy Cropper and Brian Packham certainly think Rosemary is a con artist, too.
After everything the Platts have been though over recent years, the family must practically be local celebrities – surely the Weatherfield Gazette would have reported on Kylie's death, Bethany's horrific grooming ordeal, and not to mention all the other grim things they have been though.
Maybe Rosemary has been doing her research and has decided that with so much bad luck going on, they're bound to believe their family is cursed.
5. She's an old school friend of Gail's
There's a chance that Gail might have already met Rosemary, but perhaps she doesn't remember? The pair could be old school friends – maybe Gail and Rosemary were in the same class all those years ago? While Gail might have forgotten Rosemary, the psychic could be holding a life-long grudge about something, completely unknown to Gail.
The thought of Rosemary holding a grudge for so long is slightly sinister, but maybe the clairvoyant has been watching the family from afar, waiting for the right moment to pounce. And after everything the Platts have been though over the last year, she's certainly got them at their most vulnerable.
6. She's been watching too much classic Corrie on ITV3
Rosemary certainly seems to know a few things about Audrey and Gail – more than a random stranger should. But has she really got all this secret information from a ghost like she claims, or has she been spending too much time watching those classic Corrie re-runs over on ITV3?
With extensive knowledge about the most intricate parts of the Platts' lives like what Richard Hillman's mum was called, who Ivy Tilsley is and details about Audrey's engagement ring, has she learnt a thing or two about the family from watching old-school Corrie re-runs, or has she really got this gift for speaking to spirits from the other side?
Or maybe we're all being very cynical and she really is a talented medium who has arrived in Weatherfield to help the Platts. One thing that is very believable though… the Platts have had so much bad luck over the years, they definitely could be cursed!
