Former Britain's Got Talent winner George Sampson appeared on This Morning today (August 2) to discuss topics ranging from hair transplants to soap ambitions.

The multi-talented star, who first found fame by dancing to victory at the age of 14 in BGT's second series, has since had acting roles in shows including Waterloo Road and Emmerdale.

When Eamonn Holmes brought up Shayne Ward's successful move from singing to acting in Coronation Street, and asked George if he had "ambitions to, you know, act", the response was immediate and clear.

"My dream job would be to get in Coronation Street," George said.

"I religiously... we literally set alarms to watch it. Like, tonight I'm in rehearsals till 6 o'clock, and it takes me an hour and a half to get back, so I'm gonna make tonight's episode.

"It's that sad," he laughed, before correcting himself: "It's not sad, I love Coronation Street."

Elsewhere in the interview, Sampson discussed the hair transplant process he recently began at the age of 23.

Explaining that his hair loss had likely been caused by a mix of genetics, alopecia, stress and head-spinning, he said that he hadn't suffered big confidence issues but had decided: "I've got an opportunity to do something about it; why wouldn't I?"

A George Sampson-less (for now...) Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV.
