Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street's Cassie Plummer will fight back against Terry Fensley in new scenes, amid the soap's puppy farm storyline.

The new issue-based story began earlier this month, with Evelyn confronting Terry for mistreating his dog. Evelyn and daughter Cassie later learned that the newcomer runs an illegal dog-breeding business out of his home.

In upcoming scenes, Evelyn begins to search the internet for evidence of Terry's illegal activities. She later spots him leaving the pound shop with a tray of dog food and begins to follow him.

Cassie calls, pretending that she has bought a large dog food delivery. Joan then sends her away after revealing Terry's address.

After breaking into Terry's house through a downstairs window, Cassie finds a room full of crates of puppies and a bag of cash. Terry soon arrives with a baseball bat, but is distracted by a noise from outside.

Quickly gathering the puppies and cash, Cassie attempts to escape when Terry enters the room and checks the open cages.

Craig then calls the café with news that Terry had been badly assaulted, shortly following an altercation with Evelyn outside his house. A guilty-looking Cassie watches on as Evelyn is taken away in Craig's police car.

Later in the week, Craig assures Evelyn that she's no longer under suspicion. Cassie remains uneasy over the ongoing investigation into Terry's attacker — with the police suspicious that the culprit also stole a large amount of cash.

Hope then catches Cassie with the cash at number 9. She offers her some of the money in exchange for her silence. Can Cassie trust Hope to keep her secret from the police?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
