Coronation Street's Dee-Dee Bailey makes a plea to Sarah Barlow over Michael after his dramatic involvement in Stephen Reid's fraudulent activity.
Dee-Dee's worry for her brother has increased since his unfortunate run-in with Stephen which left him jobless, after he unknowingly helped the serial killer defraud Underworld of £250,000.
In upcoming scenes, during the Bistro's Halloween celebrations, Dee-Dee tries to persuade Sarah to let Michael return to Underworld. Will Sarah oblige or refuse to reinstate Michael in his old job?

Prior to his dramatic death, Stephen planned an escape from Weatherfield where he sneaked the factory's money into a bogus account.

Stephen then tricked Michael into believing that Carla Barlow authorised the transfer, before Michael realised that Underworld's entire bank balance had been stolen.
Michael was soon brought in for police questioning after a misunderstanding involving his gambling dad Ed left him facing suspicion over his connection to Stephen's scam.

Ahead of Dee-Dee's plea to Sarah, Ryan Russell caught up with Digital Spy and other media to discuss his character Michael's storyline. He discussed how losing his job at Underworld would affect Michael.
"I think Michael has finally felt like he was progressing in life and gaining some success with his designs. He got promoted and everyone respects him in Underworld," Russell began, adding: "So, to lose that, I think Michael would be scared to go back to square one again."
He also spoke about how recent storylines will likely have an effect on Michael going forward, and his hope that the character will "fall back into his old ways" soon. "I think it will have an impact on him, because he has invested a lot in people before," he said.
"I liked the silly, wide-eyed, bushy tail Michael and then he'd go off in some turmoil and bounce back. I think he's very resilient."
