Coronation Street has teased Spider's life-changing decision over Toyah's murder confession.

Wednesday's (September 14) episode was a shocker, as Toyah made a jaw-dropping admission to former partner Spider that she had intended to kill Imran in their car accident.

Leanne Battersby overheard this confession, leaving both reeling over the implications of what this could mean for Toyah's trial. While a confused Spider took off, Leanne tried to make sense of Toyah's confession.

Leanne argued to Toyah that she couldn't say that she murdered Imran if there was no actual intent to hurt him.

"I saw the building. I didn't turn the wheel," she remembered. "I closed my eyes."

Leanne insisted her sister is not a murderer, she was just grieving and "trying to make sense" of the death of the man she loved.

Toyah tried to convince Leanne that Spider believes she's guilty, with the soap then cutting to the man himself rejecting a call from her. The episode ended with Spider trying to figure out what he would do.

Georgia Taylor recently offered hints to Digital Spy about the ways Spider could impact Toyah's murder trial now that he knows the truth about Imran's death.

"He doesn't want to hear it, for many reasons. He basically storms out, he's like: 'I can't hear this, you can't tell me about this, I don't want to know about this' and then he leaves, and then he basically falls off the radar and she can't get in touch with him'," she explained.

"He's not answering the phone, he's not answering text messages. When she goes to court, at that point she still hasn't made contact with him so she doesn't know what, if anything, he's gonna do."

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
