In next week's episodes, Kevin pledges to keep standing by Abi as her battle for Alfie intensifies.
Abi is told that she'll have to formally re-apply for custody of Alfie if she wants him back. She has little time to prepare, as the court hearing will take place the following day.

Although Kevin is keen to support Abi every step of the way, his sister Debbie warns that he should think carefully before making such a big commitment.
The conversation turns to the past, as it's mentioned that Kevin once had an affair with Molly Dobbs behind Tyrone's back.
This resulted in Jack's conception, but he has grown up unaware of the full details.
Jack struggles to take in the revelations, feeling that he has been lied to his whole life, but he wishes Abi and Kevin good luck at the hearing.

Earlier this week, Coronation Street confirmed that Abi will ultimately be granted access to Alfie in a mother and baby foster unit.
Abi is introduced to returning character Wendy Crozier, who'll be the foster carer supervising her with Alfie.
Roberta Kerr, who plays Wendy, recently explained: "Wendy has been working as a fosterer in the interim and more recently, she has been doing this mother and baby suitability assessing.
"She is teaching Abi parenting skills, and assessing how suitable she'd be to have Alfie back with her full time. It's a big change, I love it and I think it's fantastic."
