Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street newcomer Simon O'Brien has discussed an upcoming storyline involving his character Frank Bardsley and his relationship with Sean Tully.
The former Brookside star, who recently made his debut on the cobbles, has already found himself as the love interest of Rovers barman Sean.
However, it seems there's more to Frank then he's letting on, as his past with George Shuttleworth revealed the newcomer has a hidden mean streak. The pair bump into each other at The Rovers' Return, leaving George flustered as it is revealed that Frank used to bully him back in school.
While Frank apologises to George over his past actions, the undertaker is still convinced that Frank is not who he seems to be.

Things are only set to get more complicated for Frank as well, as Sean's son Dylan is to return to the cobbles very soon.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other media, O'Brien discussed his character's upcoming storyline. "I think what we'll see, and where the cracks might start to appear with Frank's character, is that he's jealous of anyone else having any kind of pull or bond with Sean," he said.
"You're not going to compete between a father and son, but Frank doesn't see it like that. You'll the tug-of-war for the affections of Sean, and then you'll start to see Frank's façade drop."
The actor also discussed potential fan backlash for his character's actions. "I have pondered that, how it's going to be with the Coronation Street faithful out there," he continued.

"These are important issues and that's what Corrie does, isn't it? It covers important issues. I know the fondness that people have for George and Sean. And I also know that as Frank's character develops and the other side of him comes out, I might have to lie low for a little while."
Despite the potential reaction to Frank's nasty side, O'Brien is excited to be playing such a 'complex' character.
"Honestly, I couldn't think of a better character to play really. A lot of the scenes are comedic. I love playing the light, comedic stuff. It's the basis of Corrie," he added.
"Below that, this is a very seriously flawed character. It's been fascinating to play on those two levels. But also to play it on those levels without giving away too much at all with how it's going to develop, that's been the trick and has been the joy of the character."
Coronation Street airs at the earlier time of 7.30pm all this week on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
