Max Turner is set to get a new love interest on Coronation Street.
Viewers will know that Max is currently studying at a pupil referral unit following his expulsion from Weatherfield High.
Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Max was behind the Amy Barlow drink spiking incident after the latter was rushed to hospital, with Max later confessing to the crime.

It was revealed that Max was actually targeting Daniel Osbourne amid their feud, and David subsequently attempted to turn him in to the police.

However, he surrendered to calls to reconsider from Shona, and proceeded to destroy the footage that proved Max's guilt.
In new scenes set to air next week, Max offers to help a school friend called Sonya with her media studies homework, and after the pair exchange a few messages, she agrees to go on a date. David and Shona watch on amused as Max smiles at his phone screen.

Later on in the week, Max decides to cook a surprise tea for David and Shona, confessing that he's trying to get some practice in ahead of his date with Sonya.

In other Coronation Street news, the soap has aired a mysterious car crash for Imran and Toyah Habeeb, with the events happening offscreen before viewers were shown the aftermath.
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, June 6 and Wednesday, June 8 at 8pm on ITV. The soap airs at the earlier time of 7.30pm all this week on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
